Professional Background:

In his capacity as a Certified Financial Planner™, Steven M. Goodman, CFP® provides total wealth management strategies for high net worth individuals including access to investment advisory services, risk management assessment, as well as tax planning, retirement needs analysis, college funding, business succession, elder care issues and estate planning insight. Working with access to premier asset management firms Steven has an expanded level of quantitative and qualitative research available as well as portfolio management resources. This provides the ability to create highly customized portfolios tailored to the client’s specific investment objectives and risk tolerance.

Steven has an extensive background in corporate and personal finance. Beginning his career in the securities industry with E.F. Hutton in 1966, now part of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Steven moved through several positions in back office operations prior to representing the firm on the floor of the Boston Stock Exchange.

In 1970 Steve transitioned into corporate financial planning working as a senior financial analyst for Fortune 500 companies including General Foods (acquired by Altria in 1985) and Polaroid Corporation.

In 1973 Steven had the opportunity to take advantage of the fast paced growth of the consumer electronics industry by opening his first Tech Hifi home entertainment retail store. Under his leadership, the company expanded the franchise to 12 stores culminating in a sale of his company to a larger chain in 1986.

In 1987, Steven resumed his career in wealth planning by retaining a position as a registered representative with American Express Corporation. In 1993 Steven attained the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM(CFP®) becoming affiliated with LPL Financial (formerly known as Linsco/Private Ledger), one of the nation's leading financial services companies catering to independent financial planning and investment advisory practitioners.

Steven is a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Personal Interests:

Steve currently resides with his wife Eleanor in Canton Massachusetts and has three grown children. He is an accomplished guitarist, avid sailor and an antique auto enthusiast/collector.
